The Gumball Players
About Us
The Gumball Players was founded in 1990 by Argo Community High School alumni and is sanctioned by the State of Illinois. The not-for-profit community theatre organization strives to bring together alumni, current students, faculty members and people from the community to provide lighthearted summer entertainment while raising funds to provide scholarships for aspiring dramatic arts students. The name of the group was chosen to represent many people of different backgrounds coming together, just like the various colors and flavors in a gumball machine. In acknowledgement, the group always includes a gumball machine as part of the set design.
